Metal Polishing Guide - Cape Cod Polishing Cloths



Cape Cod metal polishing cloths are easy to use, simply wipe on and buff off with a soft cloth. Safe and easy to use, Cape Cod polishing cloths have a pleasant vanilla fragrance and leave a revolutionary anti-tarnish finish.


General Applications

1. Remove a pre-moistened Cape Cod Metal Polishing Cloth & rub the tarnished metal surface briskly, back and forth, but not hard with even straight strokes.

2. Deep scratches requires great more force and time than shallow ones. Do not hesitate to spend some time polishing a deep scratch, it could take some time and efforts.

3. When you are done polishing (or if you want to check the results), please use a soft (buffing) cloth. This ensures you do not create new scratches during the cleaning process. 

4. Return the polish cloth into the packet and place in can for future use. The polish cloth can be used over and over again no matter how discolored it becomes.

5. After buff drying your metal-ware, jewelry or watch, wash with a mild detergent, rinse and dry. This will not reduce the shine or protection.



Optional – Use of a Cape Cod Detail Brush and Microfiber Cloth.

► If any polish remains in intricate detailed embossed patterns of your metalware, use a Cape Cod Horse Hair Detail Brush, to clean it right out. The horse hair brushes are soft and gentle, an effective way to help get the most from your polishing effort.

► For a mirror finish shine, use Cape Cod Buffing microfiber cloth and rub briskly.

How do I use the Cape Cod Polishing Cloths?
Rub tarnished object gently, for tough jobs rub harder. Wipe polish off while still wet with a buffing cloth (do not wash polish off- polish mush be buffed off)

Can I wash the Cape Cod Polishing Cloths?
No, do not wash the polishing cloths. Cloths may be used over and over, however discolored-- continue to use them repeatedly until they disintegrate.

Can I wash the Cape Cod Buffing Cloths?
Yes the buffing cloths may be washed in the washing machine. Do not wash the polishing cloths.

How long do the Cape Cod Metal Polishing Cloths last?
One cloth will last quite some time. From our testing we've found that one cloth will polish a silverware service for eight or a brass tuba. Keep in mind that the Cape Cod Metal Polishing Cloths can be used over and over again until they disintegrate.

What can I do if my cloth becomes dry?
Should cloth become dry a few drops of mineral oil will revitalize. To prevent the cloth from drying out, return to tin or foil pouch after use.

Should I wash my silver after polishing?
We recommend washing silver your silver after polishing, with a mild detergent, do not use dishwasher to clean your silver,

What metals can I clean and polish with the Cape Cod Metal Polishing Cloths?
Cape Cod Metal Polishing Cloths may be used to clean and polish all fine metals. The cloths are not recommended for brushed or satin finishes

Delivery Schedule

► All orders are shipped out every day from Monday to Friday, except public holidays.
► Most orders placed on weekdays will be shipped within the next 1-2 business day.
► Orders placed on weekends will be shipped out only on the following Monday.

Our Delivery Time

► For Malaysian customers, delivery times vary depending on the locations.
► Most local orders will usually be delivered within 1-3 days of the shipped date.
► For international customers, delivery can take up to 14-30 days depending on locations and customs clearance.

Delivery Notifications

► You will receive a notification by email when your order has been shipped out.
► This notification contains the Poslaju or Pos Malaysia tracking number so you can track it online right to your door.
► You can also choose to have a delivery confirmation sent to your mobile phone via SMS text message.

Missed Deliveries

► If you are not in to receive the delivery at the time the delivery is attempted, the delivery company (Poslaju) will leave you a card to notify you of the missed delivery attempt. This will allow you to either telephone them to arrange a re-delivery at a more convenient time or collect it from your local sorting office.
► If for any reason the item is returned to us (e.g. incorrect or incomplete address), then we will inform you immediately by phone as soon as we receive the item. Please note that for items that were undelivered through fault of the consumer, there will be an additional charges to resend the items.

Late Deliveries

► In rare circumstances our shipping capacity can be exceeded and cause a delay of one to two extra day.
► We regret that this situation can occur occasionally and is an unfortunate situation, however this only occurs in rare situations and, should this occur, your order is marked for urgent delivery the following day.
► The other circumstance which may cause a delay is when delivery company itself has an issue. This, again, is a rare situation but is unfortunately beyond our control.
► Please contact us should your parcel did not arrive within 7 business days (for Malaysian customers) and 30 business days (for international customers).
