AO Eyewear Original Pilot Sunglasses are the standard issue to all U.S. military pilots and aircrew. NASA even selected AO sunglasses to go to the Moon on all the Apollo mission. The Original Pilot Sunglasses were honored to be the first ever aviator sunglasses to land on the moon and worn by Commander Neil Armstrong and the crew of Apollo 11 in 1969. These aviator sunglasses now resides on permanent display in the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C. AO sunglasses were featured in the movie "Top Gun", as well as the character, LtCol Kilgore in the movie, "Apocalypse Now."
